When life feels heavy—whether it’s the silent weight of depression, the exhaustion of burnout, or the strain of relationships and parenting—it can feel difficult to find your way forward. You don’t have to navigate it alone. Brooke is a compassionate therapist who offers an inclusive, collaborative space where relief and meaningful change are possible.
She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University and walks alongside clients with a holistic, client-centred approach, recognizing that every path to wellness is unique. Brooke believes each person carries profound resilience and inner wisdom that can guide their healing. Together, clients slow down, untangle what feels overwhelming, and discover strategies that bring clarity and confidence in daily life.
Brooke works with older adults, adults, teens, and couples. She supports individuals in managing anxiety, depression, and stress; navigating challenges in relationships and parenting; and moving through patterns of people-pleasing, perfectionism, shame, or guilt—helping clients reconnect with balance and a stronger sense of self.
Brooke also works with couples, helping partners improve communication, navigate conflict, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection. She draws from the Gottman Method, a well-researched, evidence-based approach to couples therapy, to support partners in creating more secure, connected, and fulfilling relationships.
At the heart of her practice is a deep respect for our shared human struggles, the courage it takes to turn inward, and the resilience of the human spirit. With curiosity and a calm, grounding presence, Brooke creates a space where clients feel supported and empowered to move toward lasting change.
Outside of her work, she is a wife and mother of two daughters who finds nourishment in creativity, mindfulness, breathwork, and time in nature. These practices keep her grounded and inspire her work with clients. As Carl Jung wrote, “Your vision will become clear when you can look into your own heart. MSW, registered social worker (RSW), psychotherapist

You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or constantly hard on yourself while trying to keep everything together — even when things appear fine on the outside. For many people, anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, and relationship challenges can build over time until life begins to feel too heavy.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and begin building tools to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
As a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, Yana works with individuals who feel pressure to “have it all together,” yet privately experience anxiety, self-criticism, or emotional exhaustion. She helps the people she works with better understand their thoughts, emotions, and patterns while developing practical strategies to manage stress, strengthen self-esteem, and improve their relationships.
Yana also works with women navigating the emotional and relational shifts that can occur during pregnancy and the postpartum period, including mood changes, increased anxiety, evolving identity, and adjustments within relationships. The transition into motherhood can bring both meaningful joy and unexpected challenges, and therapy can offer a supportive space to process these experiences while building self-compassion during this stage of life.
With a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and years of clinical experience, Yana blends compassion with evidence-based approaches — Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Attachment-Focused Therapy (AFT) — to guide clients toward meaningful and lasting change.
Yana believes that change happens when people feel understood, supported, and empowered to approach their challenges with greater self-awareness and compassion. The clients Yana works with appreciate her calm, thoughtful presence and her ability to balance compassion with practical strategies for change.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy — the first step is simply having a space to begin.

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

"As humans, I believe growth and connection are our birthright. However, it can be difficult to grow when we are stuck in ‘survival mode.’ Feelings of anxiety, sadness, loneliness, shame, indecision, or a deep and painful sense of disconnection from self and others may surface during major shifts in our lives. These feelings can seem insurmountable to face alone.
Therapy isn’t about getting to some final, more perfect version of you. It’s about learning to know and experience yourself in new ways. As a trauma- and attachment-informed therapist, I believe we’re shaped by our earliest relationships and environments. When those relationships leave us feeling unseen, unsafe, or unworthy, we can carry those patterns forward despite our best intentions. The parts of us that protect, shut down, placate, fear, avoid, lash out, or over-perform are often doing what they first learned to do to keep us safe.
In therapy, we gently turn toward these parts—not to eliminate them, but to understand their stories and offer them what they’ve always needed. As we work together, negative patterns can begin to loosen, making room for greater self-compassion, healthier relationships, and deeper connection with others. We begin to move through life differently—in a way that aligns with our truest nature and offers us greater peace.”
Selena brings curiosity, compassion, and a calm, supportive presence to her work with individuals, couples, and families, while also gently challenging clients toward meaningful change. She enjoys helping individuals better understand themselves, work through difficult emotions and experiences, and develop healthier patterns that allow them to feel more connected, confident, and at peace in their lives.
Selena also has a particular passion for working with couples. She helps partners better understand one another, strengthen their emotional connection, improve communication, navigate conflict, rebuild trust, and work through difficult relationship patterns. Selena has completed Level 1 and Level 2 Gottman Method Couples Therapy training, along with additional Gottman training focused on affairs and trauma in couples therapy. Her couples work is also informed by EFT and attachment-based therapy, allowing her to help partners explore not only the conflicts occurring on the surface, but also the deeper emotional and attachment needs that may be contributing to disconnection.
Selena’s holistic approach offers a deep understanding of childhood trauma, attachment, and nervous-system-informed care. She draws upon evidence-based modalities including CBT, EFT, existential therapy, and relational/attachment therapy. Time together is focused, deeply explorative, and tailored to each individual, couple, or family’s unique needs and experiences.
Selena is completing her Master’s in Counselling Psychology and is a qualifying member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She brings over 20 years of experience teaching in public systems, including working with at-risk youth, and previously founded a successful private preschool. As a mother of three grown children, Selena also brings extensive lived and professional experience in child development, parenting, and family relationships. Her background allows her to draw from both Eastern and Western perspectives in supporting her clients.
