At Words of Hope Counselling Services, we understand that accessing mental health care can be difficult, especially when cost is a concern. That’s why we strive to offer affordable fees while also ensuring that our services are of the highest quality. When setting our fees, we consider factors such as the cost of living, education, experience, and service quality.
We believe that our clients deserve the best possible care, which is why our counsellors undergo regular training to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field of mental health. Barrie Counselling Fees
Per 60 Minute Session:
– $180-$190 Individual
– $240 Couples or Family
At our counselling services, we aim to provide a smooth and hassle-free payment process for our clients. Payment is due at the time of service, and we accept debit payments in person and credit payments for phone and virtual sessions. We understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality, so we issue receipts for each payment with the Counsellor’s College Registration number. We recommend that clients keep these receipts when they book an appointment for income tax purposes.
We also understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and clients may need to cancel or reschedule their appointment. In such cases, we request that clients provide at least 48 hours’ notice by contacting the office via email or voicemail. This allows us to offer the appointment slot to another client who may be waiting for it. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Starting September 26, 2012, Registered Social Workers (RSWs) are now recognized as authorized “medical practitioners,”which means that their counselling services can be claimed as a medical expense tax deduction when you file your income tax return.
